School Aims
In partnership with parents, Stanley Junior School aims to provide a safe, happy and positive learning environment in which:
- Children learn in ways which challenge their abilities and allow them to fulfil their potential in all areas of learning
- Children acquire the skills and knowledge to allow them to become successful, independent learners in preparation for life-long learning
- Through a range of varied experiences, children are encouraged to achieve their personal best, to have pride in their own achievements and the school as a whole
- Children develop the self-confidence and ability to communicate their work and ideas. They develop an awareness of their active role in the learning process and a willingness to accept constructive suggestions and criticisms
- Children feel safe, valued and respected and learn to respect the beliefs, opinions and cultures of others within the school and within the wider community, and to act with courtesy and consideration for others.
- Children are offered a range of opportunities and support, during and beyond the school day.
