Pupils academic progress recognised

The publication of the 2008 end of year six assessments, (SATS) in March 2009 showed the highest value added score that the school has ever achieved. To have achieved so highly in this measure is particularly pleasing as it is a true indication of how the children’s levels of attainment have increased over the four years at Junior School, regardless of their starting position. A value added score of 101.3 places Stanley as the fifth highest ranking school in the Borough.

This demonstrates that whilst the school is committed to providing a wide range of opportunities for children in Sport and the Arts, Personal and Social, academic attainment remains a clear priority and achievement is high.
