French
La Jolie Ronde French lessons are the popular language class choice for 3 – 11 year olds across the Borough and have been successfully running at Stanley Infants and Juniors since 2001. Fun but structured lessons with small groups of children allow for individual attention and the opportunity to excel!
Fully qualified tutors, fluent in French and English, engage the children for half an hour a week in activities such as role plays, games, finger rhymes and songs. The main focus is on listening and speaking but there is a full support network of fun activity books and CDs to help consolidate class work.
Pupils in Years 5 and 6 are also offered the opportunity to take the Borough’s Lingua Badge Bronze Award which recognises their achievements and provides the pupils with a badge and certificate which they can take with them to Secondary School where they can then progress to the Silver and Gold awards.
Classes run on a Thursday lunchtime.

Spanish
Our fun Spanish Club runs for 45 minutes after school on Wednesdays. We teach all children to learn to speak with confidence through active participation, games, songs, role play and activities.
Children will get an activity sheet each week, a termly progress report, online games and certificates for achievement. You are welcome to come to one free trail session, but you must first book by phone, e-mail or use the FREEPOST address below.
Once your booking is received, your place is confirmed. We do not send out confirmation letters. If you have already booked, there is no need to reapply. Registers will be sent to the school before the start of the club.
